Climate change is one of the most significant challenges of our time, driven largely by the burning of fossil fuels since the industrial revolution. This has led to rising greenhouse gas emissions, increasing global temperatures and widespread environmental impacts, including fluctuating weather patterns, from record-high summer temperatures, wildfires & drought to serious flooding on our doorsteps, shrinking coastlines and loss of biodiversity.
At Rock Fall, we recognise our role in addressing this global issue. For nearly five years, we’ve been taking proactive steps to change how we operate, in an attempt to reduce the impact we make have on our environment. By incorporating more sustainable materials into our collections — ranging from recycled components to innovative bio-based solutions — we’re working to minimise our impact on the planet by increasing the use of renewable materials, reducing waste to landfill & reducing our reliance on fossil-fuel based materials.
We’re also looking closer to home, exploring ways to make our HQ operations more efficient, using renewable energy, increasing recycling opportunities for our workforce, as well as reducing our waste and finding more creative ways to recycle the waste we do generate. This includes finding greener transport options, recycling all our cardboard which we pass to a company who recycle it to make packaging materials, changing our lighting to be more energy-efficient and streamlining processes to align with our sustainability goals. By partnering with like-minded suppliers and optimising how we work, we’re building momentum towards a more sustainable future.
At Rock Fall, we believe every step counts. By working together, we can create meaningful change and contribute to a better tomorrow.
