Dielectric

Styles marked with this feature key are certified against international dielectric standards EN 50321-1:2018 Class 0 and ASTM F1117-03.

Dielectric footwear for the American market is certified to ASTM F1117-03 and designed with an Electrically resistant upper, i.e. a rubber or neoprene wellington, the method for testing is a live charge circuit applied through a water bath. The proof test is conducted at 20kV and the maximum leakage allowed is 1milliamp.

Dielectric footwear for the European market is certified to EN 50321-1:2018. The method for testing is a live charge circuit applied through a water bath. At Class 0 the proof test is conducted at 10kV and the maximum leakage allowed is 1milliamp, this provides insulation protection in working use to 5kV.
